Auto-Kick β
The automatic kick system allows you to restrict access to your servers based on specific criteria. For example, you can configure it to prevent players with low playtime or a private Steam profile from joining. The kick message will clearly state the reason for the restriction and provide guidance on how to resolve the issue.
π Steam-based restrictions β
Rule | Description |
---|---|
Unconfigured profile | Kicks players whose Steam profile is empty or not set up. |
Closed profile | Kicks players who have a private Steam profile until they make it public. |
Account too new | Blocks access for players with recently created Steam accounts. |
Too few hours in Rust | Prevents players with low playtime in Rust from joining. |
VAC ban | Denies access to players with a VAC ban on their account. |
Game ban | Blocks players who have received any kind of game ban. |
π IP address-based restrictions β
Rule | Description |
---|---|
Using VPN | Detects use of VPN or proxy services and kicks the player. |
Certain providers | Automatically kicks players using specific internet providers. |
Certain countries | Blocks players connecting from selected countries. |
βοΈ Other restrictions β
Rule | Description |
---|---|
Restricted nickname | Prevents players with restricted words or symbols in nickname. |
Interface language | Blocks access to players using specific interface languages. |
AFK too long | Kicks players who stay inactive (AFK) for too long. |
Auto-kick settings β
You can customize each auto-kick rule to fit your needs β whether it's setting a minimum number of RUST hours required, defining how many VAC/EAC bans a player is allowed to have, or configuring kick reasons in both languages (with more localization options coming in the future).
Please note
Keep in mind that enabling or adjusting auto-kick settings takes effect immediately. For example, players who were AFK before the AFK auto-kick was turned on will be kicked as soon as the rule is enabled.
Whitelist β
There may be cases where you want a specific auto-kick rule not to apply to a certain player. To do this, go to their profile, open the Settings
section, and allow exceptions β for example, let them join the server with a private Steam profile.
Kick Alert β
All player auto-kicks can be viewed in the Alerts
section, where youβll see both the player who was kicked and the reason for the kick. From there, you can, for example, open the playerβs profile and grant them access.
