Quality of Life

The site includes features that may seem non-obvious at first glance but actually make your workflow much easier. In this article, we’ll walk you through some of these helpful tools.

Context Menu

One of the most useful and yet often overlooked features is the context menu. It’s available in many areas across the site.

Player: You can right-click on a player, for example in the report table. A menu will appear with quick actions: start an inspection, copy SteamID, view messages, apply custom actions, manage reports, add a note, mute, kick, or ban the player.

Reports: Context menus are also available when working with reports. Instead of clicking the delete button for each of five reports against the same player, simply right-click the row to remove all related reports at once.

Chat: Context menus in the chat also make moderation more convenient. Right-click on a player's message or nickname to access quick actions!

Hotkeys

The website includes several hotkeys that help streamline interaction with its features.

  • CTRL + F — opens the player search window, allowing you to quickly find a player by nickname, SteamID, or IP.
  • ESC — quickly closes any open modal window.
  • ENTER — in confirmation dialogs, allows you to confirm the action without clicking the button manually.

PWA

PWA (Progressive Web App) is a type of web application that behaves like a native app while still being delivered through the web. It combines the best of both worlds — the reach of a website and the user experience of a mobile or desktop application.

Our website supports PWA, so you can add it to your smartphone's home screen. It will function like a standalone app — without the browser's address bar or extra navigation buttons.

Install (iOS)

  1. Open RustApp.io in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Select Add to Home Screen from the menu.
  4. Edit the name if needed, then tap Add.

The shortcut will now appear on your home screen like a regular app. When launched, the site will open in full-screen mode without the address bar or Safari interface.

Server Avatar

We highly recommend using the server avatar feature provided by the game developers. It helps your server stand out in the in-game server list, the RUST+ app, and RustApp. For example, you can enable the display of your server’s logo in chat, making it look cleaner and more polished.
